whats the definition of asthma?
Basically, asthma is considered a disease of chronic inflammation of the air passages in your lungs (bronchioles) . This inflammation makes your lungs extra sensitive to asthma triggers, which lead to worsening inflammation and the narrowing of your air passages( called bronchospasm) This ultimately leads to air becoming trapped in your lungs.
The chronic inflammation can be controlled with preventative medicine, meaning most asthmatics should be able to live normal active lives.
