Q: My 16 year old son was recently given the advair disc by his doctor for his asthma.

My 16 year old son was recently given the advair disc by his doctor for his asthma. It has drastically reduced his chest, pain, weazing and discomfort associated with his asthma, but he has been having headaches. Do others have this problem while taking this medication? Do the headaches go away in time while on this medication? I'm hoping so because otherwise it has helped him!

It is not uncommon for your body to take some time to adjust to a new medicine such as Advair.  I have heard of other asthmatics make this claim, and I've had it happen to me before too.  Usually the headaches will go away in about a week or two as your body adjusts.  You might want to let your doctor know about this just to be on the safe side though.  Although if the medicine is working as well as you say it is, he might say something similar to what I just wrote.  Good luck.
