Asthma is never minor, and you should always be open and honest with your GP or physician.  There is so much great asthma wisdom and medicine available for asthmatics today, that every asthmatic should be able to go without symptoms most of the time, and life a relatively normal life.  If you are not open and honest with your physician, he (or she) will not be able to help you prevent future asthma attacks.   If you feel the symptoms you describe in this post, you should call your physician or GP right away.  If he (or she) thinks your being melodramatic, let him think that.  What's important is that you get your present situation resolved, and get on the road to becoming a Gallant Asthmatic.   I hope this helps.  Any further questions please ask.
