Allergy Shots Asthma and Stress

I have been diagnosed with allergies (food and airborn).  I have been put on prednizone and anti-biotics, and all of inhallers and I don't seem to be getting any change in what seems to be a bad asthmatic condition.   Can my food allergies cause asthma? My wife was diagnosed 3 years…
