Q: Never smoked. Have severe RESTRICTIVE lung disease & COPD.

Why do doctors seem to focus more on the asthma? It's a pain in the butt, but since having H1N1 I am pretty much toast...and my PFTs clearly show more restrictive disease.

Also, the steroids are wrecking my body.  I am fat, full of yeast, and can't stop eating.  I avoid taking them as much as possible, but I was on them for about 4 months this year.  I gained the 60+ pounds I had lost 4 years ago.

...and if ONE MORE PERSON asks me when I stopped smoking and "how do you know you have COPD...you're TOO YOUNG" (this has come from a few nurses) I'm liable to slug someone with an oxygen tank, lol.
