Hi Judy, Thank you for your question. Advair is a combination product that actually contains two medications, a steroid and a long-acting beta agonist. There are several inhaled steroids on the market, and there are two available long-acting beta agonists (formotorol and salmeterol). There are also other classes of medication that are used to treat breathing disorders. You can read more about medications used to treat asthma here. As a side note, Spiriva is only FDA approved for treatment of COPD, not asthma. Best of luck, Casey
