While rare, hoarseness is a possible side effect from Advair.  Usually if you are going to have a side effect from it this will happen within the first 1-3 weeks of starting it.  So if you have been taking Advair a long time, the source of your hoarseness more than likely is not coming from your inhaler use.   FYI:  With proper rinsing you should be able to eliminate the risk of developing any side effects from this inhaler.  And, regardless, you should always talk to your doctor about any concerns you have.
