You may want to be leary about that, considering 75% of asthmatics also have an allergic condition. Howevery, you can have allergies without having asthma, and you can have asthma without having allergies.
If you're at risk for developing asthma, and people with allergies ARE at a higher risk, then there's not a whole lot you can do to prevent asthma from occurring eventually. You can work to control your triggers, but since yours sound as though they're largely weather related, that may be difficult.
One thing you can do is learn all you can about asthma by reading through the various articles here on this site. Familiarize yourself with the signs and symptoms. If you start to notice these symptoms are occurring on a regular basis for more than a few weeks, it's time to get yourself to a doctor for a check up.
If asthma is diagnosed before it gets out of control, medication and some environmental changes may keep it from ever affecting your life in a big way. But even if you don't catch it right away, treatment will still keep asthma from interfering with your life very much.
Hoping you stay healthy,
Kathi
