Go to the emergency room, get them to put you on a nebuliser. I had a bad spell with my asthma and also had a deep chesty cough. The doctors were shut, so I called an out of hours service; the doctor rang back within the hour and listened to my symptoms and told me to get to the local a&e. They nebulised me (google it), xrayed my chest, and gave me free inhalers and antibiotics. I got seem quickly, but had to wait for the xray results and medicine almost 2 hours once I was stable. You may want to get a preventer inhaler, they are usually brown in colour.
