Q: I never had apple problems, but I just reacted to a local orchard's apple with a swollen throat. Why

did this happen?  Is it a spray they used? And I don't have pollen allergies.

I have the same problem with apples.  I developed it as a teen.  I cant eat apples, peaches, pear, nectarines, etc ( any fruit with the skin on).  It is a fairly common fruit allergy.  I always thought it had something to do with a spray that was used at the orchard, but an Allergist told me it was related to birch pollen or another type of pollen.
