Tremor, nervousness, shakiness, headache, nausea, heartburn, lightheadedness, difficulty sleeping, unusual taste in mouth, hoarseness or dry throat may occur the first several days as your body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor.
Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.
Notify your doctor if you develop:
- rapid heartbeats
- dizziness
- chest pain
- cough
In the unlikely event you have a serious allergic reaction to this drug, seek medical attention immediately. Symptoms of a serious allergic reaction include:
- rash
- itching
- swelling
- severe dizziness
- trouble breathing
If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Alupent Inhl Precautions
Before using this drug, tell your doctor your medical history, especially of:
- an overactive thyroid
- heart disease
- high blood pressure
- epilepsy
- diabetes
- drug allergies
This medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
It is not known if this drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Alupent Inhl Drug Interactions
Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including:
- blood pressure drugs
- beta-blockers (e.g., propranolol)
- antidepressants
- drugs used for diabetes
- diuretics (e.g., hydrochlorothiazide)
Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
