A single vaccine that helps erase asthma, allergies, and eczema may be available within a few years, Swiss researchers say. This "one size fits all" vaccine--currently called CYT003-Qbg10--was found to be almost as good as steroids in keeping asthma under control. Another study found that the drug cut allergy symptoms by about 40 percent. The drug's makers say a full-scale study could begin as early as 2011.
