Statins slow lung decline, study finds

A Harvard study of more than 800 people has found that cholesterol-lowering meds may also slow age-related lung function loss. Patients in the study had their lung function measured in 1995 and in 2005. Researchers found that those who were taking statins lost lung function at about half the rate of those using the meds.
