Hodgkins Disease and Long-Term Complications
- Survivors of childhood Hodgkins disease face long-term health complications from their cancer treatments. A 2006 study in the New England Journal of Medicine tracked 10,000 survivors of childhood cancers over the course of 30 years. Survivors of Hodgkins disease had among the highest risk of developing secondary cancers and heart disease several decades after treatment.
