SSRIs increase risk of infant heart and lung condition

Researchers have found that babies born to women taking a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), such as Celexa, Paxil, Prozac, and Zoloft, late in pregnancy are six times more likely to suffer from a serious heart and lung condition. The rare condition affects about 1 percent of women who take antidepressants during the second half of their pregnancy. Read more »
