Methylprednisolone Treats What?

A patient asks Dr. Robert H. Shmerling about the difference between
the steroids methylprednisolone and prednisone. Dr. Shmerling says
that both drugs are used to treat diseases such as asthma and
Crohn's disease. He also gives a list of side effects that have
been associated with corticosteroids, including increased blood
sugar and salt retention.
