Researchers have found that a significant portion of people hospitalized for the H1N1 flu also suffer from asthma. The study found that 31 percent of hospitalized flu patients had the disease, compared to 6 percent who had other health problems such as heart or kidney disease. The study has caused experts to reinforce their idea that asthma patients should be vaccinated against H1N1.
