How do you deal with bipolar? I've only known for 4 years now, but I've only been on meds since 2005.I'm 30, my husband is 28 he and I have had very troubling childhoods,so this is very hard for...

    Stephanie, bipolar support groups are a great way to start, they can help and they totally understand. Also, great therapy for your childhood issues. Finally, findind a spiritual path that makes you feel relief is good. And of course, try all the meds until you find one that works, and give each one enough time. Avoid zyprexa.

    What I did with my family was i educated them on Bipolar and we went to theropy together. I hope this helps you.

    Are you wondering how to deal with the bipolar itself?  Or how to present it to your family?  Or how to solve some of the issues it's created between you and your husband? You also said you're on meds now.  Is the bipolar treated then or are you still dealing with it?
