Hello to my fellow BiPo's!

Six weeks ago, while recovering from the stroke she had last March 20th, my wife broke her wrist while taking out the garbage can. Actually, the doctor used the word "shattered". She went into surgery the next day to have two pins set in place. The next day she is in the pool with her cast secured inside a plastic bag. (She has been in the pool every day since being released from the hospital on April 15th.)

After four weeks, the doctor removed the cast and pins, and placed her in a Gortex-lined fiberglass cast, that is made to go into the water. This Thursday at 9:00 she has this cast removed, and wee pray that she will be released.

This incident put her into a deep depression, and the possibility of suicide was real. I feel the time of those feelings has passed. Please pray that the she is released by the ortho. doc., and can get back to focusing on her stroke recovery. (Which, by the way, is going well ... she is slowly but surely regaining feeling in her left leg and foot. Complete recovery is possible, but it might take some time.

We have placed our home on the market. When it sells, we are planning on moving to the Orlando area. With her Reynaulds syndrome, SADS and inability to walk safely on ice and snow, this has become necessary. We have a place picked out, but are cash poor until the house sells.

The cocktail my pDoc has me on must be doing the trick. My BiPo is being held at bay, thanks to the meds and God's grace. I have never gone this long without a meltdown of some kind.

Thanks for listening. My posts are sporadic due to the situation with Connie.

Blessings and Peace,

Winston C. Smith Sr.
