Has anyone else noticed that more and more people have left this site?  I come to the site a few times a day to see if there is anything new.  There is less and less posts everyday.  I find this a very sad thing.  But I do think I understand why.  It's not much fun to be told...

    Hey Nutter,

I can only speak for myself in that I have been really busy with other things, that it leaves little time to post here. I am a regular and used to have time to reply to a lot of the posts and still try to when time permits.

I think when people post and either get noting in return or words they really didn't want to hear...they stop posting. I left Tabby in charge to post responses because no matter whats going on in her life...she gives great advice even when you really don't want to hear it.

I still try to stop in every morning over coffee and read a few posts that stick out before moving on to other projects. I am going to try and spend more time here to see if we can get this site going again. We also have to take into consideration that summer is here for most of us and we are out enjoying the weather.

So if you have a question and are just sitting there staring into a blank screen thinking no one cares...post it and I will try to respond in a positive way.

    Dear nonthewiser,

perhaps it is I, Alfredo, who is upsetting the whole thing here. Do you think that my posts are upsetting people here? If so just let me know by being honest and I will gladly discontinue to write here. I know that Eric would be glad to see me gone and it would make his day. John writes good posts but even he can be biased sometimes. For example he does not seem to be aware of latest developments in Cognitive Therapy and the fact that Cognitive Therapy is not a fixed concept but an evolving one.

No one is saying that one needs to be educated on this site but I feel that there was something good happening lately. Some intelligent discussion rather than the usual stuff.

In any case I will be glad to go away because I have lots of things to do.

Alfredo...I would not be happy to see you or anyone else leave the site, you are being just crazy. I also disagree that John is anymore biased than you and I. We each bring to the table a different unique take on our illness and things that help in controlling them.

I have read some of John's works and they are well thought out and helpful to a lot of people. I can also say the same about your posts here of the last year that they are also well thought out and helpful to others that my choose the course of non medications.

I too come from a different perspective of things that worked and may save some here the heartache of having to go through things. So I am asking that you stay and continue posting from your perspective. As I stated...I may not always agree with what you have to say, but thats OK...because you are not always going to agree with John and I.

    Hello!

Im new to this site and have found it to be very helpful for a variety of reasons....

One is the feedback.  Although its not allot, its not overwhelming to me, and at times, yes its not what I want to hear and at first reading it I get annoyed....but I walk away come back and re-read it and realize its good advice that makes sense....so I enjoy learning from others and taking their thoughts and advice into consideration.

I also think the articles on the site are great.  Im just learning how to manage this illness and its helpful to know the things that are on there and to read others questions and responses.

I also read others posts.  Especially those that are loving someone with bipolar.  It helps me to understand what they are going through and puts it into perspective with my loved ones.

So I guess I have nothing to compare this to, but I have foundthis site in addition to my therapy and my support group to be very helpful.

If there are more people, and they are busy with summer, Im excitedto meet them in the fall.

I have no idea if this helps at all......lol!  I hope it did!
