I've had
three really interesting experiences lately that have got me thinking more
deeply about employers and their role in determining our health care coverage. We
all know that "employers want to reduce health care costs." But I saw that in
action three different times in less than two weeks.

I never thought about the role employers play in selecting the insurance plans they offer. I have thought that the insurance companies just present various packages of care and the employer picks by price. That employers have more say in this process than I realized, gives me pause to reconsider my criticisms of insurance companies (not that they're completely off the hook here). Thanks for this information.
