From your pearls of wisdom I started an advocacy outreach with help from Elizabeth and this site. I have to say mental illness, mood disorders or whatever label one choices to you are not aligned with any political party. I admire your efforts both at the conference in Fl. and your travels to Congress. Thank you for being the voice of those who don't take the time or have the will to write. I know personally it can be a long time before your letter falls on the correct desk - but I can assure you that the letters get noticed. even the email ones.
It may take months to get a response but don't stop writing, don't stop sharing the story. It is amazing when the little details of limited health mental health care or services are given a name and face to the congress or senate represenatives how they do take on a different tone and willingness to hear the true story.. not from some lobbyist or windblower that has no idea of the battle of living with Bipolar.
Thank you for being an example and not being too busy at the conference to give a hug or share a kind word. You are doing a great job. A worthy job and I and DBSA or lucky you are leading us into the new era.
