What is the address for DSBA?  I'd like to check out everything they have to offer like the Living Successfully Course.  Thanks so much.

Hi Sue!  Real exciting stuff coming out of Chicago, based on your post.  One idea:  provide the Pathways to Recovery 'train the trainer' instruction on-line and/or with DVDs (plus the workbooks, etc.) to chapters that have people who have been through the in-person course.  We have three leaders who all went to Orlando and completed the class.  We have offered the class once. (I took the class myself.  It's life-changing).  To do so on a continuing basis (without overwhelming the trainers)--requires more trainers.  In a nutshell-- empower people who have completed the formal training from DBSA to train peers at the local level with an online/AV supplement.   Less expensive than a two or three day training away from home.   Then offer a refresher or advanced one day course at the National Conference.  Does this make sense?

You wrote about documenting what the risk-benefit ratio is for each medication taken [for bipolar disorder and depression].  This would be very useful information.  Many people, however, take multiple medications and it would be useful to know what possible drug interactions could be expected when taking some of the more common drug combinations, such as Wellbutrin and Effexor.
