does she remeber?

I am 11 and i have a bipolar friend who does not know i know she is bipolar. i have put out two posts before this.  my friend  has gotten quite mad at me a few times and has said some things to me that are very upsetting. My question is when she is in an episode and gets mad does she remember it afterwords? becasue both times when i talk to her about it after she always tells me that she would never say anything like it when infact she has. Also are there any warning signs that a person is entering mainia or depresion? i am trying to learn as much as i can about bipolar  so i can help my friend. thanks for any info! =)

I'm not sure if they remember everything but one thing my son always says is, "I don't know why I got so mad."

He feels bad after a lot of times, and there are a couple of moments in there where I know he is completely out of control.

I worry about you though hun.  I don't think it's safe to be around her if she's doing this.

I don't want you to get hurt.

i am fine but thanks for your concern. She is like my second mom, and i love her no matter what she does. i just am having to be very mature right now when i am around her. i have to just remeber what she is like when she is not mad and keep thinking about it when she does get mad. i am also trying to learn as much as i can so that i will have an understanding which helps a lot. thanks for your post. =) =)

Hi broadway girl, hm.. that's a hard one! I am bipolar (42 yrs old, diagnosed almost twenty years ago.) I know that when I'm manic, I'm hyperaware of everything I'm saying and doing, but afterwards? I rely on my partner to tell me some of her observations and remind me of some of the less desirable things I've done while manic. I'm not sure that I don't remember things afterwards, but they are difficult to pull up and I often rely on help to get the whole picture of what I've said and done. I hope this helps a little. onus.
