I am on Lamictal for Bipolar. I have made it to my full dosage of 100mg. Just curious about the side effect of tremors. I have been having them sporadically, mostly in the evening. If you are on this medication and had tremors, how long did this last for you? Thanks.

     Hi there,

I saw your post. I am nothing of an expert on this but was on Lamictal for a short while. I didn’t experience tremors as much on Lamictal as on Topamax. The tremors over all didn’t really bother me that much. Side effects on Lamictal, was basically some nausea, hair loss, loss of concentration.

But really if I had to go back on any meds now I would actually go back on to Lamictal, it was way better than anything else I ever took.

Try calling the pharmacy to see if this is a side effect of Lamictal.  If not, call your doctor.  There might be something else going on.  It's been great for my son.  It keeps him on and even keel and doesn't have any side effects at all.

How much lamictal do you take a day? I am on 600mg and never had any tremors. Are you taking any other meds? Perhaps one of those could be causing it. I too love my lamictal.
