My extraordinary spouse

I have been with my husband for 30 yrs now. He has seen my worst of the worst over the years. I don't know how he does it but I am lucky to have him in my life. Imagine going from happy to rage in a matter of seconds. My illness caused me to be meaner as the years have gone by. This year I finally got my Pdoc to agree with the Bipoar2 diagnosis and added Lamictal to my medicaitons. I'm seriously amazed that he has stuck it out this long. On...

Medication Side Effects

I am on Lamictal for Bipolar. I have made it to my full dosage of 100mg. Just curious about the side effect of tremors. I have been having them sporadically, mostly in the evening. If you are on this medication and had tremors, how long did this last for you? Thanks.

I finally got the right medication!

I saw my psychiatrist this past Tuesday and after him finding out I wacked off the back of my hair, about 5 inches gone, and told him I tried to take too much Xanax he FINALLY agreed with me that I am Bipolar-II. He started me on Lamictal. Wanted to find out if anyone has any stories about using this medication, what your experience is/was. I thought he would be replacing my Nortiriptyline and Celexa but he gave me the Lamtical in addition to...

Funny situation

What a difference a day makes. I was using Cymbalta since it would help out with my Diabetes but then I had a huge manic episode. I have capsules and my clinic said cut the dose in half then go back to your previous medication. That really made me mad, my clinic seems to have no genuine concern/care for it's patients. I know I am Bipolar but my doctor seems to think I'm not. So I am looking for a new clinic/doctor. Well here's the funny part...

Hate HMO's

I have been through so many doctors since diagnosed in 1990. Every time my lousy HMO moved me to a new dr my file seemed to disappear. All the new dr got was a 2-3 page overview. Have any of you experienced this? I hate that I would have to quit my company in order to change my HMO to a better one but I've been at the same job for 29 years. I had a manic episode last week and I can't get the stupid dr I currently have to agree that I am bipolar...
