I’m on AMTRAK, halfway from San Diego to LA. Late this evening, I fly out of LAX to New Zealand to see my grandson (eight months old) for the first time (not to mention his production team). I’m looking forward to a very satisfying week.
Our illness gives us many reasons to take a dim view of the world, and in this regard you can call me a frequent flyer. But every once in a while this strange interlude called life throws us a pleasant surprise or two.
