I know that Paul was able to keep going because he also knew "Nothing can separate us from the Love of God..." Romans 8.
Throughout Scripture God promised to be with us. No where in Scripture are we promised a perfect 10. The world was perfect when God created it. When sin entered the world, the perfection disappeared. However, we will get that perfection again in Heaven.
I know for sure, that I've survived only by the Grace of God. Without Him, I probably would be living in the 'quiet room' of a mental health facility.
Paul was one of the torch bearers who shows us the path through adversity.
One of my favorite verses in Scripture is, "My Grace is sufficent, for My power is made perfect in weakness." 2 Cor. 12:9

I agree that it's helpful to have Paul - and many others - as an example of surviving the struggle.
Everyone has a 'hidden agenda.' The grumpy person that's checking us out at the grocery story could have been up all night with a sick child, or just told she/he has a serious illness. Everyone has some sort of dis-ease to deal with and it's important that we are kind and understanding to everyone and when it's possible, remind them that they are not alone and that God will help them.

You know. I undersand totally where you are coming from with this passage. I am in the midst of one of the most difficult trials in my life. I MUST keep my focus on the mission as well.
My mission, to be smack dab in the midst of God's purpose and plan for my life. I am seeking, but having some difficulty finding His next provision for me.
So, I seek and I WAIT.
Waiting is not my strength. However, I am learning that when I focus on Him instead of the way things appear, I get along much better.
Some of your posts have been really knocked down and I can't understand the stones that seemed to be thrown your way. I honestly wish Icould channel all my words into productive and useful information that will help others as you do.
I would never encourge you to become cocky or arrogant, but I don't get that from your posts.
Just thought you could use some encouragement. Hopefully this came across as encouragement to you!
Blessings!

Paul, who was once known as Saul stood up under much adversity. I always found it fascinating that he met up with God on the road to Damascus, was temporarily blinded and from that day on carried a heavier cross than actually opposing Christians as Saul. The interesting thing is that he did not embark up on his journey until after processing the monumental appointment of that day...then nothing could stop him! His trekked through countries to spread the word and wrote most of the New Testament. What a man.
Thank you for posting your view on the matter....it describes what life can be for many of us. Blessings!!
All of our time in the sun is fleeting, yet all of our problems are also impermanent.
Thanks for such a thought provoking post.
