I heard a wedding happened yesterday. I didn't watch it, but I do wish the Royal couple well. The event, even though I tuned it out, did bring back memories of my first Royal Wedding. My first marriage was in its first stages of falling apart and I was camping out a friend's place. The TV was on. Cha...


Earthquakes, tsunamis, tornadoes, melting icebergs which change the pressure on the earth's crust, promising more of all of the above. Flames in the Middle East, politics by psychosis in the States. I do what I can, and it's precious little, and it won't be enough. As a species we are doomed. The only question left is whether we will take every other carbon-based life form on the planet with us when we go.
So what's to do but say the serenity prayer, then get up at 4 AM, admire the hats, and wish two people well who have decided to do their best to stick together while we all go down the chute. Oh, and eat crumpets, English double cream and marmalade.
That's the way I want to go anyway, holding another person's hand.
