I have not been lucky in my search for community support near my home.  Both groups I joined were not run well, had no real facilitator and no agenda of any kind.  It seemed like the groups came together to discuss problems with social security and disabilitiy checks and rag on their respective MDs.  I find my on-line support groups to much better...although somewhat anonomously.  But I absolutely believe in supporting the groups DBSA and NAMI.

I SO love that description from DBSA Princeton...your blog.  So often I feel that my status is "probationary," or that my life is "on hold."  Thank you for sharing and consequently validating my own experience.
