I am writing this at 4 in the morning. I have been lying horizontal in the dark for the past 4 hours, failing miserably to close the deal with the gods of sleep.  Two hours between 10 and midnight - that was it. Then my racing mind took over. I'm in DC at the APA annual meeting, and I'm o...

Doesn't surprise me that you couldn't shut down your mind. That happens to me too.

    Have a good day tomorrow.

Hi, M. I'm happy to report I slept like a baby last night. I finished the conference late afternoon today and relaxed with some friends. Tomorrow I'm off to CT to visit my mom.

I'm really glad I got through yesterday. No sleep is the quickest way to mania, and I wasn't going to be a hero.

I had a great conference, but I'm glad it's over. Many thanks for your concern =

Bio psyche classes were some of my most enjoyed in college.   The more we can understand the brain, the better off we will all be.  The thing that I notice about my own brain is that I put myself under such acute stress for so long that now I simply cannot deal with stress for long at all....it seems my brain was in overload for too long.

At any rate, it sounded as if the conferance was wonderful.............I am glad you had some a wonderful experience..............Pam   of course, going without sleep is not good!
