Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 04:08 AMGlad to see the newsletter back in my inbox. especially today. because today - I have my driving test. tried in my teens but high anxiety plus zero concentration proved unhelpful! New meds, new concentration, new desire to get OUT MORE.
Many congratulations to you for passing. May the road between you and a certain someone be much travelled!

Friday, August 22, 2008 at 09:05 AMOh John, SO PROUD OF YOU>>>YOU DID IT!!!!!!!!! It does have to be nerve racking to have to renew license that is for sure for sure it felt like scrutiny the whole time and oh we sure avoid that when necessary huh? ha.....but you have such a GREAT attitude and so glad you are back and moving on the roads...just be careful okay??? and a little heads up sometimes my meds affect me where i have difficulty driving for can't stay focused per say....so when feel a little "off" beat for the day just be extra careful...and remember (as if i need to tell YOU this..you are the expert geez but as friend i want to....) that meds do affect our response and reaction times .....and LOVED the DUH comment on being a little panicky tehee..that was precious.....
thanks for sharing your success with us my friend.
take care and BE CAREFUL and get this my stepson just got his license on 8-20-08 too!! and now driving to school so uhm watch out for those young drivers too tehee..

People don't seem to realize how stressful the whole process of learning to drive can be to some folks. My son recently went through driver's ed but kept procrastinating when it came to taking the written driver test. After about 2 weeks of him putting it off, I was concerned he might forget what he learned if he didn't take it soon. One day I just told him to get up and get ready and we were going to let him take it. He didn't have time to overthink or overanalyze and he passed with no problem. I asked him later if he was glad I just surprised him with it and made him take it and he said he was.
