Hey, readers. My last installment of Question of the Week demonstrated that you are the true experts in knowing what your illness all about. This week, I'm going to really challenge you:
How would you define well?
If you have never been well or can't recall being well, this may be the toughest question you've ever been asked. But I'm betting you can come up with better answers than psychiatry, which focuses on all that is wrong with us.
Don't feel you need to give a comprehensive answer, but if you want to make a list or write an essay then go for it. Otherwise, you can keep it simple, such as "the ability to laugh," or "to be able to find satisfying work." Feel free to share your hopes and dreams, no matter how crazy you may think they are.
There are no right or wrong answers. Well is how YOU define it. We're all different, we're all learning, and we're all ears ...
