I can really relate to what u r saying. I forgot to take my meds one day last week and I was so irritated I wanted to just scream. I just felt like everyone was just out to make my day a living hell and didint' want to deal with anyone. I couldn't stop myself from snapping at my kids, and I hated being me. It is scary to know that making through our days depends on a few little pills. Don't feel guilty, girl, it happens. U can not be perfect, u r a mother and u have a ton going on, I'm sure. We all r here for u as I am sure your family is as well. Smile

  3. Missing Meds

It depends on which med, but it certainly can make a difference. I am currently taking Lithium, Welbutrin, Adderall, Effexor and Seroquil. If I miss the Lithium, Adderall or Seroquil, I definitely feel it within 12-24 hours; the others not so much. I also take Levoxyl for my thyroid; missing that one can be a real problem.

My advice is never miss your meds. I travel quite a bit, and I have a two-days dose in my car, overnight bag, office and at my parents. One problem I experience on a regular basis is memory, and I have forgetten my meds quite frequently. This is my fail-safe, and I've used it a lot.

When I forget, I take the missed dose ASAP, and again take it again when the scheduled time comes around. This is what works for me. Talk to your pDoc and get his/her advice.

    Good luck.

    Blessings,

Thanks for all of the feed back. It's incredible how missing one dose can send you into a complete tail spin. The guilt and shame after one of those episodes is so great that you then fall into depression..ARRGGG...does it ever STOP?!!!!

Meds or not we all have bad days.  I remember feeling like that when my kids were little.  I was just exhausted from all the demands of my family and often fantasized about running away.  Give yourself a break hun.  You are an amazing person and a great mother.
