A HUGE THANK YOU BEYOND WORDS

By ctrygirl Tuesday, January 20, 2009

To all of you who helped me out with the situation that i posted on just recently concerning the decade coming back to haunt me...I want to say THANK YOU for all your encouraging words,  all your prayers, all your support, and all your shared Knowledge!!

It inspired me to believe, to trust that all would "too pass" and that I could make it through this, although i did have to call the hotline a couple of times while waiting to get to the courthouse to explain the situation.(weekend and holidays ARGH!)....I FINALLY got to go there today...

here are the results as i know a lot of you deserve to know what transpired due to being such wonderful friends and caring support group that you are....this site is amazing and really has been my saving grace so many times...I humbly humbly thank you again..

Here is the situation...... I went in to the court house and went to the clerk of courts which is what the paper instructed me to do in order to have a hearing to stop the garnisheement of my HUSBAND"S monies (for if you read the post you know i get NOTHING in terms of monetary means, NOTHING)....the clerk was the most preciously nice woman that I have ever dealt with in a court system

....she told me this "NOTHING that is ss, ssi, pension, workers comp, (and various other similar payments to individuals too many to list) are subject to ANY kind of garnisheement, and the statutes of limitations have long surpassed (in my state anyway)"

She then proceeded to take and make copies of my proof positive that i receive no monies and then also sent it FAX to the judge and to the company Citibank and their cronies the collection agency and informed the judge with the fax of all the pertinent information that i had brought with me...

(A TESTIMONY TO KEEP ALL PAPERS GUYS ANY AND EVERYTHING DEALING WITH HEALTH< FINANCES ETC EVEN WHENYOU THINK THE TIME PERIOD IS OVER FOR NEEDING TO KEEP THEM>>For this was back in 1980's and 1990's that the citibank card was even used and as you know NOT by me, but ERIC WAS RIGHT it is a contract between BOTH parties even if you are not the primary card holder regardles they consider it a contract with you and do not have to heed the judge's ruling in a divorce that 1/2 and 1/2 were to pay the balance......THANK YOU ERIC FOR THAT HEADS UP!!)

any way....she then advised me that I most likely would NOT have to come to court once the judge saw the information that i had brought in and if i do it will be TUESDAY of next week but not to worry (easy for her to say tehee...for i have been in a literal BALL of anxiety and tactiles and sleepless nights since the paper arrived) but she was SOO nice

...anyway, she said that if i do have to come to a court hearing she saw NOTHING that citibank could take from our bank account (for as you know my husband is a disabled vet and that is the only monies that we get in the household so his can't be touched either and also since it wasn't in his name or he wasn't even around when the card was held by my ex and I)....
