Do not put up with verbal or physical abuse. Is he getting treatment?
IF not, he needs to. Get therapy if you need to know what boundaries to set. They're good at helping you figure that out.
I know my son can't control being angry all the time but he can control how he acts toward me. I will not be his scapegoat. He's not allowed to cuss at or be rude to me. I stand up to him if he starts.
He can yell and he can go punch the punching bag but he can't threaten me.

thank you. The punching bag seems like it would be a good idea. He is getting treatment but his meds are still all jumbled up. I know that he has no right to make me feel bad, its just how to put it to him. I did end up talking to him and he seems to be trying which is really good.
