It claims my mammals and fish, kills my coral!"

By now, a tear had welled on Sapling's leaf
And he squeaked, "This darn weed's a worldly thief!"
"Don't worry my child; this thief's day will come.
Surely, the earth will see justice is done."

Then the earth spoke in a quaking low voice.

"Unlike us, this weed was given the choice.
It does not matter to me, I have not one concern,
As from me it so sprang and to me it shall return."

Have I told you

Your presence stills my restless heart,

And thoughts of you

Anchor my soul when we're apart?

Have you heard

The silent sounds and steady beat,

And do you feel

Two hearts' music when we meet?

Have you seen

The warm glow hover in the air,

And taste it

Every time our lips draw near?

Have you thought

This was sent down from up above,

And imagined

It was written in "The Book of Love?"

Have I told you

The senses tell me this is true,

And have I said,

Because of this and more, I love you?

Among the Stars (Rondeau)

Among the stars, the secrets shine,

Where brightly wishes intertwine:

Passionate pleas impart to air,

Entrusted in the heaven's care,

Softly to seek a stellar shrine.

Soft lover's lips steal sips of wine,

As dreamy eyes search for a sign:

A fallen wish of love so rare

Among the stars.

Oh, look upon the sky divine

When hopes and dreams are in decline,

Or loss grasps the soul with despair;

There hails the source beyond compare,

Behind the silent, twinkling design,

Among the stars.

Transcendence

Something, sometimes occurs

When Man and Nature meet,

When land is no longer

Mere land beneath his feet.

When the sky casts its memory,

From age's eons past,

The landscapes no longer

Impart a sharp contrast.

When the divide, that in between,

Becomes an indefinite line,

Then man transcends nature,

Escapes the bounds of time.

In this lapse it all comes clear,

Departs to shades of grey,

When black and white,

Man and nature, slowly fade away.

In the solemn moment

All is one, one is nothing

And man becomes clearly

An equal part of something.

The greater Good of everything

He then can comprehend

When the implicit boundary,
