Well, this depakote continues to interfere in our heretofore sexually amazing marriage. I dont know if it is my bi-polar gone over the hill or if it is just fatigue. I sleep often, though for just twenty minutes at a time. My wife certainly does her best to wake the dragon, which has historically been very very moveable. Alas, today at times, my desire disconnects from my body's responses... if you get my drift. On the other hand, two nights ago I was unable to climb the mountain but walked around it earnestly for hours and hours, exhausted! You understand Im sure. I take seraquel as well as depakote. Now,Im wanting to get well soon!
I just took my prn, that's short for a pill you take, when you feel you need it...it was a 500 mg tablet/horse pill of depakote.
I've been living with bipolar for years now. and my advice to you would be- know your doses, and be able to gage your own mood.
I take 15mg of abilify daily with food. I also prefer my max dosage of celexa over lexapro as an anti depressant.
back to the subject-sex vs depakote: depakote can make your metabolizm slow down as well as other side effects. WHEN, you are ready to take depakote as a prn, your life will become more...zealus in bed.
Again, know your doses, gage your mood.
