A poem from Jill

By Jill Monday, April 21, 2008

 Anger

I am often inside you

screeming to be let out

But instead you just whisper

when you need me to shout!

You hide and protect me

this is not what I need

If I am not released

your heart will bleed!

And I'll drag you down

like a heavy load

until against your will

you finally explode!

Then I'll be to blown up

and make you feel bad

so at yourself

You will stay mad!

So do me a favor

Don't keep me in

just let me out a little

when the feelings begin!

I wrote this poem when trying to deal with my anger. I work for Nami's in our own voice program as a coordinator and State trainer. I am from Long branch, NJ. I live here with my two cats Ginger and Mitzi.

I was impressed with your poem.  It spoke to me directly.  I also write poetry.  What you wrote was excellent.  It encourages me to write more of my own poetry.  Thank you.
