I'm getting older...

I'm 54 years old and as I look backward and forward I'm generally terrified. I have raised 3 wonderful (1 Bipolar) children. They've gone through numerous job firings with me, a too vocal Mom (at school), walking out on their Dad, wild parties etc. Everyone is settled but a week ago I drove to North Carolina and put a deposit down on an apartment and yesterday went and had a hairdresser cut all my hair off. My theory about North Carolina is that my income (alimony and SSDI) will get me further. I don't have a theory about the hair!

Do you have any idea how often I have "made a fresh start, and altered my appearance"? I did hair for nearly 15 years and everytime I felt it was time to make life changes, my own long hair kept getting cut shorter and shorter.... I guess that is one indication that I look back on and see that either I really am Bipolar, or just of the feminine origin.

I'm getting older...
