I have created a blog to chronicle my life with my bipolar child. It is called http://xanderswar.blogspot.com/. I had to do something. I love my little angel, but he's also my little devil. The whole family walks on eggshells around him, and everything in our home revolves around what Xander will tolerate. Despite all of this, he still throws fits and insists that no one cares about him.
He can be incredibly loving and kind and thoughtful, but you also cannot turn your back on him because he's so impulsive. I had my back to him the other day, and he put his arm around my neck and squeezed. I'm stronger than he is right now, so I was able to extricate myself before he did too much damage to my windpipe. My fear is for someday when he is bigger than I am and I stand in his way. After all, I am only 5' 2'' and 118 pounds.
It's like raising a lion. They are so cute as kittens, but then they grow up...
