Hey everyone I came across some news that I thought some on this sight might find interesting. For those of you who follow the NBA or college Hoops you may have heard of Delonte West a guard for the Cleveland Caveliers. If you don't follow basketball then maybe here is a guy you can root for. Delonte has recently come out to the press that he has been suffering from a "mood disorder" for which he has been taking medication and going to therapy.
I have followed Delonte's career closely and always loved the way he plays the game. He's a tough, gritty, player who plays great D and isn't afraid to stick a big three. Off the court he has been active in many charity's and he is also quite a painter. He is an easy guy to like. I think he can have a big impact on the acceptance of mental illness to a wide audience.

I would love to hear what you guys think. I will be rooting for him thats for sure (unless he plays against the celtics) but every other game I will be rooting for him.

delonte, we are proud of you and there is nothing to be ashamed of. Keep up the therapy and we hope to see you play alot longer. We are here to talk to if you need us. :)
