Hey everyone I came across some news that I thought some on this sight might find interesting. For those of you who follow the NBA or college Hoops you may have heard of Delonte West a guard for the Cleveland Caveliers. If you don't follow basketball then maybe here is a guy you can root for. Delonte has recently come out to the press that he has been suffering from a "mood disorder" for which he has been taking medication and going to therapy.

I have followed Delonte's career closely and always loved the way he plays the game. He's a tough, gritty, player who plays great D and isn't afraid to stick a big three. Off the court he has been active in many charity's and he is also quite a painter. He is an easy guy to like. I think he can have a big impact on the acceptance of mental illness to a wide audience.

I would love to hear what you guys think. I will be rooting for him thats for sure (unless he plays against the celtics) but every other game I will be rooting for him.

Saw Cavs vs.  Rockets in Houston last year, and Delonte was one of only a very few Cavs that made an effort to sign a few autographs. He must have spent 10 minutes of pregame time going from youngster to youngster signing autographs.  Nice guy.  Hope the best for him.
