Lithium is a GREAT drug, even though it one of the olders ones. Please drink tons of WATER, not soda or tea or coffee or whatever; otherwise it could effect your kidneys or liver
It will probably effect your thyroid, so keep a close eye on it.
Alos, get EKGs every 6 months to check for heart irregularities -- do this at the same time as you have your blood drawn to verify that you are at therapuetic levels to verify that it is at an effective level.
And lastly drink and drink and drink more water 24 hrs/ day. You will pee a lot, but it could save your internal organs. I am constantly thirsty and drink about 1.5 gallons of water every day and also drink other beverages.
