How many practicing professionals do you believe are diagnosed with bipolar disorders (1 & 2)?
Just of note: I have begun to deal better with the stigma (I've had this illness for 30 yrs) by calling it a "brain virus" instead of a mental disorder!
Answer
Hi, Linda. My best guess would be a percentage that would match the general population. Bipolar is extremely disabling, but for many it can be an extreme advantage (increased productivity, etc) so long as they can keep it on track.
