    I'm surprised the doctors wouldn't listen to you, especially given that you were a nurse!  Good to hear that Lithium helped you.  I too, take Zyprexa as needed, though I find it to be so strong that I take just a small dose (about 1 mg, up to 5 mg when need be).  It sure works for mania, though.

     

    That's wonderful that your dog helps you so much.  If I were to get a dog, it would definitely be a Golden Retriever - they are so gentle and friendly!

    I was on 2.5 mg of Zyprexa niightly when I was Hypomanic.  However It made me Diabetic!  Not fun!  Doc wants to find another med when I am hypomanic, maybe Abilify.  I react and gain weight massively just from eating!

    knows me well.  She would not leave me alone,laying on me, on my leg, on my feet and staring at me!  I went to the doctor and he said to keep her!  Precious told me there was something wrong!  The doctor concurred!  She has done this x2 now!  I listen to her.  Don't kn ow how, but the knows!
