I am helplessly watching my husband go through the later stages of bipolar disorderand he still is refusing treatment.
What a nightmare this bipolar disorder is!! My husband, who was a sucessful trial attorney and loving husband and father, developed bipolar disorder about 5 or 6 years ago. He had affairs, squandered money, left me twice, and refused to believe that he had bipolar disorder. He is in huge dept and about to go bankrupt..and lose his house. I saw him in court the othr day and I have been crying ever since. He is emaciated, pale, and has a frail appearance of a man who is 30 years older then he is...I am so sad and frustrated. I need to tell this story to anyone who will listen. I fear that the worse is still to come because he has not hit his bottom yet. Will he commit suicide or just disappear? Help me think of a way to get this precious man into the hospital...pleese...
