Hi Shannon- I'm a new member, and just learing how the site works, but you asked about Seroquel, and I have two years worth of experience with it.  First, it made me really sleepy with the morning dose, but I got used to it, and it has been my saving grace.  You have to work up a tolerance to it, so they should increase the dose very slowly, and after 6 weeks or so (longer if needed) you may begin to feel better.  My daughter and I both take it, however her dose is 50 mg a day, and mine is 200 mg a day.  The downside of this drug is the weight gain, especially when mixed with Depakote.  I've gained 50 pounds, so now I've had to become an expert nutritionist to even try to get my weight under control.

Hope this helps - and believe me, you are in the initial stages of treatment - and it will be several months before you get the meds right for you - we all go through that.
