About Me

Now in my 40s, treated for bipolar disorder since age 27. A terrible struggle at first to achieve a correct diagnosis and medication. Sadly, I have found that even taking the meds and taking care of yourself does not always keep you out of the hospital...very scary! I try accepting that there might be a cyclical component to this illness beyond all my best efforts and I try to stay employed. I go to a support group weekly.
