About Me

Looking back, I realize I have been bipolar most, if not all of my life. Major symptoms started showing up when I was 11 or 12, but no one seemed to notice anything amiss even when I was acting out. I was finally diagnosed as bipolar in a severely rapid-cycling state when I was going through a divorce at age 23, but I really didn't start taking care of myself for another 2 or 3 years. I have a son with bipolar/Tourette's/ADHD/OCD/ODD as well. It's a constant struggle to help him, but as we know, the trials are worth it help our loved ones be successful. It makes me insane sometimes, but I love him. I owe my life to medication and God's intervention. I'm here to talk with anyone who wants to share what it's like not only having bipolar, but caring for someone with it - and to support others.
