LOVE your painting! I would love to see it in a 4" wide, flat, gold leaf frame. That would really make the colors pop!
LOVE your photo of Hans (the dog). I can see into his soul. Go for that outcome in a photo of your cat.
I took several photos of my mother's cat during the recent weeks while Mom was dying. I happened to catch the cat when SHE was in the mood for photos. i would focus and zoom in real tight then call her name. She looked right at the lens and I shot the photo. It has the same effect as your photo of Hans with those piercing eyes.
Can you get your daughter interested in photography? It's one of the easiest mediums to jump right into. Then you can do so much to doctor the photo with software on the computer. 'Elements' may be a good software for her...affordable, supposedly easy to use although I've never used it.

Why in the world would you place a six year old in therapy and have them remain there for 10 years? Borderline Personality disorder is one that is learned…meaning that it could be caused from the years of therapy and drama always surrounding it. Shrugs
